The National Clinical Conferences on Cannabis Therapeutics, Next Conference for Spring 2010 * This conference presents state of the art cannabis research with faculty from the US, and around the world. Areas discussed included the use of cannabis for pain management, multiple sclerosis, mental health problems, cancer, glaucoma; use during pregnancy; an overview of the  endogenous cannabinoids and their role in the human body; harm reduction  measures and policy updates. Also, topics such as Providing Patients Safe Access to Therapeutic Marijuana/Cannabis, which encourages the education of registered nurses regarding current, evidence-based therapeutic use of  marijuana/cannabis.

 

Learn about the scientific evidence supporting the therapeutic use of cannabis.  Researchers from across the U.S. and around the world.  NOTE! * Saturday, May 2nd, 2009, High Noon * Marches for Global Cannabis Liberation * Also known as the Million Marijuana Marches, this Action is happening in Salem, Eugene, Portland and around the World.  Check your local listings.  Salem plan:  MERCY will assemble for this event, starting at 11am, at the far end of the mall across from the steps of the Capital Building, Salem, Oregon on Saturday, May 2nd, 2009 and March at High Noon.  Officially, the corner of W. Summer and Center streets.  

 

At High Noon (sharp!) we proceed down W. Summer thru the Mall to the corner of W. Summer and Court.  Then west down Court Street on the north side-walk.   We do not have permission ($!) to use the street, so we must stick to the sidewalks and obey pedestrian rules.   We will check on being able to have bicycles and pace vehicles on the street beside us. Do not block traffic or impede other citizens attempting to use the walkway.

 

We will march, politely and peacefully, down to Liberty Street and turn right.   We'll go north up Liberty to Center and turn right.  Going east down Center we'll come to W. Summer (the Mall), and return to our original rally point.
