I've been smoking for nearly two dozen years, mostly to curb the effects of chronic tinnitus (ringing in the ears) long enough to fall asleep at night. My finace is okay with this, but would prefer I pursue MMJ. At her urging, I'm seeking advice on how I might go about that here in Seattle. This is a pretty tolerant city, so I imagine it's possible... Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Grey-haired Patricia Tabram, in court last week for possessing 240 grams of cannabis – worth £850 – reflects a growing trend of "buyers' clubs". Those with a medicinal need for the drug are banding together to buy it in bulk, with, one assumes, a discount from the supplier.
The difficulty for the police in trying to crack down on those such as Mrs Tabram is that, increasingly, it appears that cannabis may be the only remedy for a range of conditions for which there is no adequate medical treatment.
Mrs Tabram finds that cannabis alleviates her tinnitus, while Dr Jonathon Berman of the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital reported in a study last year that it can produce "significant improvement" in the most devastating neuropathic pain resistant to all forms of analgesia. It is also widely used by those with MS who find it relieves their symptoms of pain spasm and tremor.

Hi, I am thinking of trying cannabis to relieve my tinnitus, Has anyone here tried it, did it make it better or worse? Ive read reports on the internet that it helps alot of people. Please vote in the poll if you have experience.

Have read quite a bit about medical pot in calif and other states, being helpful for glaucoma, pain, nausea, etc.....wondering if it is benefitial for inner-ear probs. Probably not..just curious. thanks...elwo

If you are talking about the medical benefits of marijuana for tinnitus, my guess would be that there has been no study done to indicate whether it is beneficial in facilitating habituation or reducing the physiological level of ones tinnitus.
If on the other hand you are asking anecdotal opinions then that is another matter.
Not sure how you tie a/d's and anxiety meds into the equation though?

Marijuana and tinnitus - Has anyone found that marijuana gives relief from tinnitus? In my case, it sometimes makes it seem louder, but sometimes it makes it seem lower.. I think it either depends on how focused i am on the sound, or the strain of weed. I'm not sure if other people find relief or not.. but it sometimes helps me. And it makes my hearing a hell of a lot better, too.. (for the time being, at least).

Defiant Humshaugh granny Patricia Tabram faces a possible prison sentence after admitting to possession of drugs with intent to supply at Newcastle Crown Court.
But she remains loyal to her beliefs – that cannabis eases her suffering.

Jury Acquits Medical Marijuana Grower

A Calaveras County jury on Friday acquitted an Angels Camp man of felony cannabis cultivation charges and charges of possession for sale.
However, the jury found William Harrison, a local sculptor, guilty of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Barbara Yook, the Calaveras County deputy district attorney prosecuting the case, declined comment on the verdict.
But medical marijuana advocates said they hope the verdict will cool local law enforcement's zeal to prosecute legal users.
"I'm very happy the jury did the right thing," said defense attorney William Logan, adding that his client was growing for his own use rather than running a commercial drug operation.
... Harrison uses marijuana and other drugs to allay the severe pain, nausea, tinnitus and vertigo stemming from a chest infection he contracted a number of years ago, Logan said.
